Privacy

Draft, adviser to review.

This page says what happens to information about you when you visit ora. It is a draft. Everything marked TBD is not decided yet.

Who is responsible

TBD: company name, address in Zurich, Switzerland, and a contact email for privacy questions.

What we collect, and why

If you join the list. Your email address, the page you joined from, its language, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content). We use them to send you one email to confirm, then news about the launch, and to learn which pages people find useful. Our email provider (TBD) stores them for us. You can leave with one click in any email.

If you reserve. Reservations and payment are handled by Shopify. They receive what you type into their checkout; their privacy policy applies there.

If you say yes to counting visits. We use Plausible Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without following you to other sites. Nothing is counted until you say yes, and nothing at all on The Hour.

Every visit. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver the page and keep it safe. TBD: retention period.

What we store on your device

No cookies. Your browser keeps three small notes for this site only: the hour you chose for the light of the page (ora-hour), your answer about counting visits (ora-consent), and, for this visit only, the campaign tags you arrived with (ora-utm).

The Hour

The Hour logs nothing. If you leave your email there, it is handled like the list above.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local authority in the EU. TBD: contact address for requests.

Changes

TBD: date of this version.
